Our History

The creation of the Firuza Foundation represents a key moment in its founder, Nasib Hasanov's philanthropic journey, signifying a deliberate shift towards a more institutionalized approach to his purpose-driven acts of giving back to society.

Firuza Foundation derives its name from Nasib Hasanov's mother, Firuza Khanum. Her legacy of compassion, kindness and selflessness serves as the compass for the Firuza Foundation's mission. Firuza Khanum inspired Nasib Hasanov with her noble acts of solidarity and care for the underprivileged people. Establishing the Firuza Foundation not only honors her noble work and memory but also reinforces the values of empathy and inclusiveness that have been at the core of Nasib Hasanov's philanthropic actions. 

Building on the history of generous contributions to various charitable causes through the companies he owned or direct donations by himself, Firuza Foundation will support several causes in the fields of science, health, education, emergency relief, environment and culture.
